Community Christian Church is an independent church that came from a movement which believed that a divided church did not conform to the will and Word of God, and that human creeds, however correct they might be in substance, should not be made tests of fellowship.

We call people to the simple gospel of Christ, to the authority of the Scriptures, to the right of private judgment in matters of opinion, and to the unity of all believers.

This call takes many forms:
"Where the Scriptures speak, we speak; where the Scriptures are silent, we are silent."
"In essentials, unity; in nonessentials, liberty; in all things, love."
"Call Bible things by Bible names."
"No creed but Christ, no book but the Bible."
"The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice."
"We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only."

These statements are more than just cliches. They represent a firm determination to accept the Scriptures as the only authoritative rule.  We work for the restoration of the ancient church in faith and practice, and we seek to promote the unity of all believers.
